So how's the tally look?

Well its late Monday afternoon (5.48pm and really no sign the weather is going to shift greatly) so I believe its time to tally which city had the crappier weather for their long weekend? Sydney? or Hong Kong?

To give the Hong Kong side, there were some things we didn't share before, things you can't normally do in K Town, unless you've had a black rain event. The most impressive being to stand in the middle of Belcher St.... for those who have been to our place, you'll remember this main drag as a bustling, crazy place, where getting run over by a mini bus is a real possibility day or night. Trent's timing was impeccible here - you don't get an opportunity like this very often!!But the news didn't end there, while the weather cleared (and left us in real trouble of having thrown down the gauntlet a little early) we did get to party up the night at the Intergalactic Australian Association Ball at the Grand Hyatt. And while we decided that the space theme would be interpreted as 'any old ball' theme, it turned out to be quite a sensational evening - of being out-danced by the oldies.... we were taught a lesson in what happens when the kids have left home and you can get away with pulling out the dance moves....But that wasn't the end of the excitement, our close friends Anne-Marie and Shaun, were expecting a small child in the next couple of weeks. True to form, Anne-Marie worked Friday - 9 days before she was due (HK's maternity legislation doesn't allow for much time) and while she was finishing off the few things before beginning her leave, she began experiencing something that seemed like labour. Again, in very AMB form, she trotted off to the doctor in the next building, and he told her it all looked fine, no need to worry, so she came back to the office. By 11 pm she was at the hospital, and at 11.15 am Saturday morning AMB and Shaun became proud parents of a respectable 3.9kgs healthy baby boy, Cillian. We've offered to mind him for a hour or so, so that she might be able to get that foot massage she was hoping to get before giving birth.....
Mum, Dad and Cillian are all doing well!

Once again, weather fueled, we decided that Monday just looked too good to miss (again my brash decision to challenge Sydney was looking very much like a mistake....) HK has been turning on the ultimate humidity and 'fog' for most of the last 6 months, so to wake up to great visibility and sunshine was too good to leave. So it was off for a hike....
And while a little sticky, it was a great way to enjoy the Monday of our long weekend!
I know which city got the worst of it, but I'll let you decide....
